Dolly Parton, who was just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, will hold a New Year’s Eve party in Miami with her goddaughter, the singer Miley Cyrus.
Two renowned vocalists will be joining forces for a unique December 31 celebration, a little birdie told us. To be fair, the tiny birdie really came in the form of an Instagram post, but the point is still made.
The exciting news was communicated by the two titans in nearly identical posts. Dolly greeted the “Wrecking Ball” singer a happy birthday and wrote, “I can’t wait to celebrate with her and ring in the new year!!” while Miley’s message simply read, “#NewYearNewCoHost @dollyparton.”
Dolly was radiant in a sequin long sleeve dress and matching shoes, while Miley kept things simple in a bodycon black dress and heels. Both women were dressed in color-coordinated, form-fitting outfits.
Being the daughter of country music star Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley was exposed to music from an early age. After meeting Miley for the first time while on tour with Billy Ray, Dolly decided she wanted to be involved in her fairy goddaughter’s life. Since then, the two have co-starred in Hannah Montana, lending their distinctive voices to performances that will live in infamy.
The 76- and 30-year-old musical geniuses also shared a little video with followers on Instagram promising that their New Year’s Eve celebration is going to be “amazing.”

- “If Mariah Carey is the queen of Christmas and Heidi Klum is the queen of Halloween (it’s very difficult to top her most recent costume), then Dolly is unquestionably the queen of New Year’s Eve!”
For a party that is sure to be legendary, viewers may tune in to Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party on NBC and Peacock on December 31 at 10:30PM ET.
